Too Gone for Too Long - Apr 2011
Gee, it's been a long dry spell since my last post. I'm still alive, as you can see in this photo, and we're back on the move and I've been taking a few pictures of our travels. Thanks to this economic recession, we've been keeping our travels to a minimum and haven't done a lot of exploring and so there's not much to blog about. I'm going to try and go back and capture a few photos from these past months, but here's a brief summary...
August 2010 -- after leaving Bluewater Lake State Park, we drove to El Vado Lake State Park and stayed in northern New Mexico for about six weeks -- bouncing around between El Vado and Heron Lake State Park.
October 2010 -- we left northern New Mexico and headed to Salt Lake City where we stayed with and visited family for about six weeks. After enjoying two snow falls, we thought it best to leave Utah before winter set in and we headed south.
November 2010 -- we stopped at Elephant Butte Lake State Park for a few weeks.
December 2010 -- we spent three weeks at Brantley Lake State Park before heading to San Antonio for our annual winter visit.
January to March 2011 -- we spent nearly 3 months in San Antonio -- visiting family and taking care of annual medical stuff. We left there in mid-March and headed back to New Mexico -- stopping first at Brantley Lake State Park for three weeks and then heading to Sumner Lake State Park -- our current location.

It's great you are back. We are glad to hear you are doing well and traveling. We are in Silver City, NM, right now. If the wind stops blowing, we are headed to Elephant Butte.
