Brantley Lake SP, NM - Dec 2010

After leaving Elephant Butte, we stopped in Carrizozo, NM at Valley of Fires Recreation Area. We'd been there before and it's a nice stopover between the east/west side of the Sacramento Mountains. We wanted to explore Ruidoso and this was the least expensive campground in the area and only about 30 miles from town.
We left there and headed to Brantley Lake SP near Carlsbad, NM -- where we stayed for a couple of weeks.
As is usual in New Mexico, the winds were blowing, but we had some pretty good sunsets.
