John Wayne Marina, Sequim, WA - Jun 2009

We'd been hearing about the lovely town of Sequim (pronounced skwim) ever since arriving in this part of Washington, so we had to go check it out. One of its highlights is the picturesque John Wayne Marina on Sequim Bay. The Duke was said to have loved this area and upon his death, gave this property to the city.

The marina has a small, but beautiful park next to it. We had been out exploring all day, so it was a great little spot to stop and relax and enjoyed a picnic lunch while watching the boats come and go.

We sure wished that this area had a nice RV park -- what a view!
