Oregon to Utah - Nov 2009

On Tuesday, all three Lazy Dazers left Boardman, OR and traveled in a caravan down I-84 to Huntington, OR. Here we all are parked at a rest area along the route.We stopped for the night at a Passport America park called Catfish Junction. For $10/night it was a decent overnight stop. It sat right next to the Snake River and I got this photo of the river as we were leaving the next morning.
Wednesday morning we parted ways with our Lazy Daze friends and we headed towards Declo, Idaho for an overnight stop at Village of the Trees RV Park. It's another Passport America park and an okay stop for overnight.

On Thursday, we made it to my brother's house in Saratoga Springs, Utah. He retired from the Los Angeles Fire Department in May and he and his wife and daughter packed up and left California and moved into their new house in June. They invited us to come and park in their driveway for a couple of days so we could visit and catch up on our lives. Our RV fit perfectly and we even had a view of Utah Lake and the lights of Provo from our RV windows.
Our niece Holly was into her 3rd month (and yellow belt level) of Karate lessons, so we went to one of her classes to see her in action. She has long legs and a vicious kick!
On Saturday, Holly was in a regional tournament and she entered into the competition to demonstrate her moves (don't ask me for the proper term -- it's a series of Karate moves.)
She won first place in her age group and belt level and received her first gold medal. Way to go Holly!
