Wanapum S.P. - Vantage, WA - Sep 2009
Sorry that it's been so long since my last post, but we've been just a bit busy lately. You see, we've enjoyed our stay in Washington so much that we decided to try and find a camp host position in one of the Washington State Parks.
We spent a week calling around to find an opening and were excited to be offered a camp host position at Wanapum State Park near Vantage, Washington. It's in south, central Washington and located in the arid region that is east of the Cascade Mountains. That said, the park is a little oasis along Wanapum Reservoir. The campground has trees and lush, green grass and many of the sites have excellent views of the Columbia River. We arrived here on Monday and we've been busy getting settled in, learning the things we need to do and familiarizing ourselves with the park. I'll get some other photos posted soon -- in the meantime, here's Frank doing his part to keep the park beautiful.
