Thanksgiving Point - Lehi, UT - Apr 2009
While we were staying in Provo, we drove over to the nearby town of Lehi and went to a place called Thanksgiving Point. The park was the vision of the husband and wife team who created WordPerfect. They wanted to give back to their community by building a family-friendly place to explore and have fun. It is filled with an assortment of entertainment including huge gardens, a museum, a golf course, shops and restaurants. We were there just a tad too early in the season to see many flowers blooming in the gardens, but it was still a beautiful setting.

We strolled the grounds and enjoyed the mile-long path that wound its way down through trees, along a river and up through boulders overlooking a pond.

We met my family at the park and we all toured the dinosaur museum before the taking in the gardens and then we enjoyed a nice lunch.

A few tulips were already popping up, but the beginning of their renowned Tulip Festival was still about two weeks away.

We did see some colorful pansies and hyacinths.

And a few more tulips emerging.
