San Antonio - Jan/Feb 2009

It's been one wild and crazy thing after another ever since arriving in San Antonio and I've not been able to keep up with my blog. Our first month in town was filled with doctor, dentist, orthodontist and optometrist appointments for Frank & I and then we had numerous trips to the vet for both of our aging dogs.

We also have an abundance of family living here, so we've had a whirlwind of socializing and gathering together to catch up on our lives. Frank's brother Mike was moving, so several days were spent helping with that. No sooner had we finished with that then Frank's mother Mary broke her hip and was in the hospital for a week. Her surgery involved getting a new titanium pin put in place and followed up with two weeks in rehab. She's home now and doing well, but still needs help with everyday tasks around the house and won't be able to drive for awhile.

When Mary went to the hospital, we moved into her house to take care of her home and her dogs. We're going to stay here for at least another couple of weeks while she recuperates and can begin to take care of things on her own.

In the meantime, there's not much to add to the blog. Don't give up on us though, we're planning to head to the beautiful red rock country in Utah in March/April, so hope to have some great pics then.
