Christmas - San Dimas, CA - Dec 2006
This year, we spent the Christmas & New Year holidays in southern California -- visiting with my family and enjoying the beautiful weather. For nearly a month we moved out of our RV and into the guest room at my parent's house and, while we really love our little home on wheels, it was pretty nice to have plenty of room to sprawl. I was also reminded of the convenience of having a washer/dryer at hand.
The doggies especially enjoyed have lots of room to romp and play. They loved this perch that "Papa George" built for Yoshi to look out the window and it became a daily tussle over who got to occupy the top spot.During our stay in California, we spent a week with my family up at Shaver Lake (near Fresno) and had a great snowstorm while there -- that really put us in the holiday spirit. Then we spent another week back in San Dimas while we waited for some warranty work to be done on the Ford chassis part of our motorhome. Then we spent a week at Jojoba Hills SKP Resort near Temecula where we met up with RV buddies and had a great time. It's now getting towards the end of January and we're beginning our journey back to Texas where we'll spend a month or so getting caught up on doctor/dentist/vet stuff. In the meantime, I'm taking a hiatus from blogging -- probably until March, since our travels back to Texas won't involve much touring. Until then.......happy trails to you!
